제목 [1.27 Update] double jaw + 3 contours/Invisalign post-correction/SSRO NO fixed Why Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

This is a review after undergoing no-fixation two-jaw surgery + 3 types of contouring.

Reasons for choosing Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

- In fact, when I look for a hospital, I'm not the type to sell a lot of footwork. But there were four criteria by which I chose the hospital. First, is there an experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeon? Second, is it possible to cooperate with the dentist? Third, whether there is cctv in the operating room. Fourth, whether there is an anesthesiologist. After considering all these things, Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was the hospital that met all my requirements, so I chose this place.

Appearance before surgery

What she looked like before surgery and how she decided to have surgery

- I lost a lot of weight while dieting, but as my face, which was buried in my flesh, gradually emerged, it became a complex.

In particular, the cheekbones and square jaw kept getting in my eyes, so I tried Botox, but it didn't seem to have any effect, so I eventually looked into contouring surgery. Contouring surgery can only expect a frontal effect, and it is difficult to improve the appearance of the protruding chin from the side view, so I received two jaw surgery to move the lower jaw backward through two jaw rotation.

1st or 2nd day after surgery

- I was unconscious after breaking anesthesia, and it was so cold that I covered myself with several layers of blankets. Her mother, worried about me, paid a half hour to come to the hospital, but she was dreamy, unable to speak at all, and motioned me to go home quickly because I looked a mess. I usually liked to drink water, but it was hard because I couldn't drink for more than a day, including fasting before surgery. The first time I tried to drink water, I crumpled a paper cup slightly and tried to drink it, but it failed. In the end, I succeeded in drinking it with a small syringe, but it was a disappointing amount for me, who constantly drank about 3L a day. And the dawn of suffering began. I thought I was going crazy because it was hard to breathe~~@@. I've heard many times that the first night of surgery is the hardest, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. To put it bluntly, I have a personality that doesn't show any signs of hardships, but I couldn't sleep because it was difficult to breathe and I had to sit down to sleep. It was a series of discomfort rather than pain. I've become so miserable myself. At this time, I regretted having the surgery for the first time, but still, the changed face shape at this time was amazing, so I took several pictures with excitement.

3-4 days after surgery

- I removed the ringer, took CT and X-rays in the morning, and had a brief interview with the director. I went to a nearby pharmacy and got a prescription. Her father came to pick up. I was upset because I had to show my swollen face to my parents. There were quite a few prescribed pills, but it was difficult to have to take one at home with a syringe. I'm sure I drank water from a paper cup at the hospital, but it was scary. I heard sare several times while drinking at home. Because of the face band, my mouth kept opening a little bit, so my saliva leaked. I had to put gauze in my mouth or constantly wipe it with a tissue. It was my first day away from the hospital and without the help of a nurse, so I was worried in many ways. I think I slept for about 4 hours. I wanted to sleep with my mouth shut, but it was so swollen that my upper lip was lifted.

5-6 days after surgery

-I woke up at 2:00 am, lost sleep for about an hour, fell asleep, slept another 3 hours, and woke up. I slept for a total of 7 hours. When I woke up in the morning to drink water, it was more helpful to use a pointed paper cup rather than a syringe. I was still running out of water to drink. I didn't eat anything for weight, so of course I'm missing it~ I drank a protein drink in a paper cup for breakfast... To be honest, I had no appetite and didn't want to eat it, but I always ate all the gargles and medicines for a quick recovery. Since I only drank liquids, I felt weak and dizzy, so I tried porridge for the first time at this time. I bought porridge and ate it all in a blender, but it was delicious and it was really good.^^

2 weeks after surgery

Side view: 2nd week after surgery/ Comparison photo before surgery

Comparing it like this, the swelling is still very severe, but the profile that was flat and had a jutting chin feeling before the surgery has improved, and the length of the face has also decreased as the lower jaw is shortened. The swelling tends to go away slowly, so I think I tried to move around a lot. Personally, because of swelling, I went to an oriental clinic, got acupuncture, prescribed herbal medicine, and ate tea for swelling. I think walking is the most effective! Instead of taking public transportation, I walked as far as I could. Since it was midwinter, the wind was blowing, so it felt good to get a cold pack for no reason.

3 weeks after surgery

This is an unedited photo from week 3. I did makeup for the first time after surgery. The swelling is somewhat missing on the lower jaw, so there is no problem in daily life, but the swelling on the cheek is still severe. I bought a separate swelling medicine at the pharmacy, but this seemed to help a little. While I was recovering, I stayed at home and went to an appointment after a long time. I was eating pancakes and my friend said that I looked like an old woman. I went to the hospital to see the progress and asked the director, and he said swelling in the philtrum was the last thing to go down. I am eating well, so the weight I lost after the surgery is being replenished.... Should I like this or not?

4th week of surgery

As the swelling goes down, the contours are definitely coming out. I've always used a large mask, but now I'm only using a small one because the medium one has flowed down!!! There was the hassle of having to buy a new mask, but maybe it was unexpected, so I feel rather good. I haven't been able to go out well because of Omicron these days, so I'm constantly using hot compresses at home, drinking tea for swelling, and taking care of swelling. I gained weight ^^;; Now I weigh more than before the surgery. ㅜㅜ During the recovery period, you need to eat well. So... Anyway, eat well, rest well, and recover well.
