진료과목 Double-jaw surgery
제목 Two-jaw recovery process (from the same day to 4 weeks) Why Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

This is the main reason why I decided to have surgery...

Since I was a child, I had a bad protruding mouth, so when I smiled, all my gums were visible, and the philtrum was long, so it stood out so much that it was stressful for me too.

The sad voices I heard from people around me piled up as stress, so I finally decided to have surgery. The broad and angular face shape was also a concern, so I wanted to improve this part as well.

I was wondering if I should go to plastic surgery for a while, but I think it's right to go to a professional oral surgery, so I'm going to go to this place after selling my hands! One place is Y Gugang Facial Surgery.

20 years of experience... 1 person private hospital... presence of cctv... I went to the hospital for consultation with my mind almost made up while looking around the website.

To be honest, I went with the thought of even two jaws, but when I heard that the director recommended only protruding mouth surgery, I completely hardened my mind thinking that he really only told me what I needed without excessive treatment haha...

Because I read a lot of articles about side effects from unreasonable surgery.. After the consultation session where the director gave me only what I needed, I set a date for surgery that day.. haha

Day 1 (the day of surgery)

I arrived in the morning and was guided to the hospital room... Wow, just when I was thinking that I was finally going to have surgery, I went into the operating room and the nurse in the operating room said, "You're the director of the anesthesiology department."

By the time I thought I had said hello, I was lying on the operating table at some point and thinking that I was going to have a real operation, I saw a needle in my arm, wearing a mask, and the director of the anesthesia department said, "It will smell a little like medicine." I felt pain in my arm. I felt it and I fell asleep...lol

As I woke up from the anesthesia after the surgery, I was giving my body a lot of strength. I barely relaxed when I was told to relax, and for some reason - I didn't wake up from the anesthesia, so I lay down on the hospital bed and concentrated on breathing.

I read several times that the anesthetic gas should be removed well, so I focused very much on breathing as soon as I woke up in bed.. haha

The director came and asked if I was okay, asked me to take a deep breath slowly, and checked if there was anything uncomfortable. ㅠㅠ The director came and looked at me several times until he left work.

The nurse also came to check on me from time to time, but since I had undergone surgery on my own without a guardian - I couldn't bear to show my family what I would look like after surgery - I was a little worried, but I was really grateful that everyone cared so kindly.

He came from time to time to change ice packs, change fluids, and watch over me because I was having a hard time every time I got an antibiotic or painkiller injection. There was a bell, but I didn't have to press it, so I never pressed it..

The day ended with just concentrating on breathing.

Day 2

discharge day! I was scheduled to be hospitalized for 2 days and 1 night because of protruding mouth surgery. The director told me to rest a little longer before being discharged, but I thought I was okay, so I was discharged immediately after the discharge consultation.. Haha...

I was a little nervous when I pulled out the urine line or the blood tube, but I didn't feel any pain at all... I was fine except for a little difficulty when I changed clothes because I was out of breath even when I moved a little.

When I looked in the mirror, it didn't look like there was much swelling, and I was so amazed to see the shape of my mouth.

Even when I left the hospital, everyone kept checking to see if I was okay with going alone without a guardian haha... I didn't say anything, so I just kept saying hello and then came out.

I have to do ice packs often when I get home! I made up my mind, but I was sleepy, so I couldn't do it a few times. I took a walk for about an hour and a half, but I was out of breath so I walked very slowly.

Medicine.. It was a little difficult to take, but I usually took 5 pills at a time, so I wasn't too worried, but this... it was really hard because my mouth was closed and I couldn't open much...

I had no appetite, so I just ate it with milk and medicine.

Day 3

I felt my face swelling. I could only walk for about an hour.. After sitting, sleeping, and eating for 24 hours, my butt got really flat and sore.

I tried really hard not to cough, but I coughed once, and I wondered if this was hemoptysis... A lump of red blood clot came out of my mouth... heh. ..

The manager also contacted me and said that I would pour a lot by the 4th or 5th, but actually, I didn't know at this time how much I would pour...

Day 4 (I couldn't take a picture TT)

I was really relieved when he kindly replied that it was because of the swelling and the wafer.

Days 5-6

The swelling is at its peak... I knew that if I craved it, it would leave a deep mark on my face and I would wake up constantly and swell up because I couldn't breathe well even when I was sleeping, but my face was so swollen that it was really hard even when I was taking medicine...

It was time to apply warm compresses because I kept feeling the heat on my face, but they also gave me cold compresses for a while... I thought my face was really about to explode..

Also, a lot of phlegm comes out, but my bronchial tube hurts so much that I ate as much warm water as I could.

Day 7

Suddenly... I felt the swelling go down. Also, bronchial pain has significantly decreased.. This was the day I went to the hospital on the 1st week, and everything always seems to get better when I go to the hospital... haha

I went to the hospital, received a swelling laser, took pictures, and removed the cheekbones. My voice didn't work well and I couldn't open my mouth wide, so I didn't say more than three words until now, but the director said it's okay to talk and open my mouth as long as it's not too much, so I came home and ate porridge.. I've only eaten soy milk... So I gained strength and I felt like my body was getting lighter for the first time in a long time, so I took a little longer walk than usual.

Day 8

It was from this point on... that my appetite exploded...

I ate a lot as if I was going to eat everything I hadn't eaten before. I rolled bread in milk, ground porridge and ate ice cream.

A lot of the swelling that was about to explode when I did the dandruff was gone, so even if I did the dandruff, there was no discomfort. As for the bruises, the yellow bruises on my neck were all gone, and the bruises under my eyes seemed like they would all go away soon.

The swelling has gone down quite a bit, so I slept with the pillow lowered to two, so I got a good night's sleep... From that day on, I started to taste a little bit better.

Days 9-11

They gave me a lot of warm compresses. I wanted my bruises to go away quickly, so I bought some medicine to get rid of the bruises. Instead, I'm really used to it, so there's nothing uncomfortable haha

Day 12

I heard that the swelling went down a lot that day, so I was very happy. Now, I can eat soup well and gargle with my mouth muscles, so I can keep my mouth shut and gargle well!

My shortness of breath and loss of stamina while taking a walk have recovered a lot, so the discomfort in my daily life has disappeared.

Day 13

I.. I ate kimchi stew that day.. I shouldn't eat something salty and spicy... But I really wanted to eat it so I ate it and gargled... It was really good...

Day 14

It was the 2nd week hospital visit. It was the day I went to get a swelling laser and had stitches pulled out of my mouth, but it didn't hurt at all except for the middle part of my mouth.

I asked if the wafer was detachable, but it was fixed. They said I could brush my teeth, so I started brushing my teeth from this evening.

Maybe it's because I've adapted to the wafer life so well, I ate more than usual for a week and gained weight... I think I need to control how much I eat...

3-4 weeks!!

It's already been 3-4 weeks since a lot of time has passed.

Compared to the 1st and 2nd weeks, I didn't get sick and I didn't feel much discomfort because I got used to the wiper a lot, so I think the time passed really quickly haha

This time I went to the hospital and took pictures and only received swelling care. As usual, I would go on to braces in the 4th week, but it was postponed until next week, so I'm looking forward to next week haha

I think it would be nice to have the surgery in a place that is attached to the dentist like the dental cavity.

It's not a plastic surgery clinic, so it's not crowded and it feels calm like a dentist's..

(Is it a dentist?) Anyway, while I was waiting, Dr. Lee Seok-jae met me for a while and said that the surgery went well, so I'm very glad.

I really like the square jaw and I'm so happy that I don't have a protruding mouth... steamed

I'm living on my own, but I went to see my parents last week, and they said that the swelling was almost gone, so I felt good.

I think I'm still far away, but in my parents' eyes, the swelling looks like my face when I was young, so they like it haha

It's still a bit awkward to open and close my mouth, so I'm unfamiliar with myself, but I'm glad I have a mask!

These days, whenever I have free time, I often look in the mirror, and every time I look in the mirror, I think that I really did well with the surgery.

Then it will change more and more, right?

I take a walk every day, and now there is no problem other than eating in my daily life, so I think I can start going to work once I start correcting.

Until then, I should be enjoying my unemployed life more.

I'll start proofreading and come back to leave a review!!
