hello.
I wrote a review to give some help to those who had a grade 3 malocclusion and severe facial asymmetry like me.
First of all, as I mentioned earlier, I had severe facial asymmetry and a protruding chin, so I was in a state of severe restrictions in my daily life.
That's why the most important thing when I was looking for surgical treatment and trying to sell my feet was that functional improvement came first.
During consultation, I was looking for a hospital that prioritizes safety as well as functional aspects rather than hospitals that list aesthetic advantages after surgery.
Finally, in addition to the conditions I wanted, the director, nurse teacher, counselor, etc. are all kind and the guardian can check the CCTV in the operating room, I am confident that it is a hospital that is far from illegal substitute surgeries and ghost doctors. I decided to have an operation at the Outgoing Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
The day of surgery is obviously very difficult. My mucous membranes are all swollen, so it's hard to breathe, and I'm crazy about the subtle pressure from the blood bag and urine line.
The nurses regularly checked every 30 minutes to an hour, and at the same time, if they heard even a little bit of coughing/boiling sputum, they immediately ran to the hospitalization room. Thanks to the real teachers, I could barely survive.
Rather than writing a longer post, I will finish by posting before/after photos.

-Day 1-

-Day 2-
The long-awaited second day... I really didn't want to live...
It was more of a pain than a pain. My nose is swollen and it's hard to breathe, and the wafers are too annoying to breathe through my mouth...
Fortunately, the nurses gave me suction sometimes, so I was able to sleep for only 30 minutes to an hour.
For meals, I drank one New Care provided by the hospital slowly throughout the day.
The conclusion is impossible to breathe, impossible to eat, and impossible to sleep!
I thought the swelling on my face was less than I thought, but when the sun went down, I wondered if this photo was taken on the same day.
Anyway, the 2nd day is really very, very difficult.

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------
-Day 3-
This is the day when you can safely spend a long 2 nights and 3 days in the hospital and be discharged.
The swelling is still rising, and breathing is struggling with the help of Otrivin.
The pharmacist warned me that if Otrivin was used for more than a week, chronic respiratory disease could occur as a side effect.
So, I use it with moderate frequency. Attention everyone!
Actually, nothing much has changed between yesterday and today, but the fact that I am in a comfortable home, not a hospital, is a great comfort.
It is fortunate that I have a grateful sister who came to pick me up on the way home after being discharged from the hospital. Driving my own car is close to impossible, so I realize once again that hoodies and hats are essential if you use public transportation...

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------
-Day 4-
I just write it down like a diary, but it doesn't change drastically from day to day, so it's a pity that I don't have a lot of experience.
Slowly, my nose started to pierce, and I started to get hungry.
I get tired of liquids such as milk, soymilk, and new care, and stimulating foods like ramen...
Of course, right now I'm brushing my teeth with a baby toothbrush and bleeding profusely, so ramen is just a dream...
The swelling seems to have reached its maximum, and you can see a yellow bruise coming up.
The swelling and bruising are so painful...

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------
-Day 5-

The swelling reached its peak and then went down just a little bit.
I'm going to shave, but my senses are so messed up, so I'm not confident, so it's messy, but I couldn't shave.
Breathing is a little uncomfortable, especially right after waking up in the morning, the nasal mucosa is definitely swollen.
I persevered thinking that it was a process of surviving on my own.
-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------
-Week 1-

After shaving for the first time in a while, the trouble just came up, so I'm stressed...
After a week, I felt like I was going to live without any problems with my breathing, probably because my condition improved a lot.
As a result, my stomach got more and more hungry and I wanted to eat meat, but I couldn't masticate, so it was almost torture.
-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------
-Day 10-

I didn't feel the swelling go down for the previous 10 days, but from this time on, I could see it with my own eyes.
Certainly, rather than lying still at home, I felt that moderately sweating aerobic exercise helped reduce swelling.
At this time, it is possible to slice thin bloody steamed dumplings and mash them with your tongue to eat them, so it is the timing to find other soft foods!
I lost 5 kg, but managed to lose 2 kg in a few days.
-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------
-Week 2-

While practicing making facial expressions, I looked in the mirror and smiled.
From this point on, I think it's the time when I just eat cake without milk and the wafers become almost one body.
The swelling is gone, the bruises are gone, the wafer is becoming more and more comfortable, and I need to return to work soon.
-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------------
-Week 3-

Now, at the point of becoming one body with the wafer, whether the teeth have moved or the jawbone has moved, there is a feeling that the front teeth are pulling and there is a little pain.
I have a little bit of pain in my jaw joint when I open my mouth a little.
Still, if I can hold on for a week, I will take out the wafer and move on to proofreading, so I am holding on every day with hope.
As for swelling, aerobic exercise seems to be of great help. I'll fix it and come back!
-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------
-Week 4-

Calibration has begun!
For correction, except for both molars on the upper teeth, thin wires were connected. The lower teeth are said to start the next treatment.
A rubber band is put on the molar to make a gap, and the device is inserted in the next treatment.
They say it can't be helped because the width of the two jaws is different, but another device after the wafer is daunting...
Still, I'm happy that the things I have to worry about are greatly reduced just by removing the wafer.
However, it is regrettable that the reduction in swelling is gradually decreasing...
I'll straighten my lower teeth and come back.
-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------
-3rd month-

I forgot to upload it and it's been 3 months.
The large swelling seems to have almost disappeared, and the small swelling is a little noticeable, especially when you wake up in the morning.
I did all the corrections on my upper teeth, but the bracket attachment space for the 4 lower teeth didn't come out, so I'm stretching them with springs.
Since the brackets are not attached to the lower teeth, it is very uncomfortable when chewing food with the front teeth.
Maybe I neglected to move my mouth, but my fingers are still only two sizes apart, so the hamburger can't go in...
For those who have surgery, be sure to do it after surgery! Work hard on your mouth!
3 line summary
1. Swelling is in good condition except for small swelling
2. Correction completed except for 4 lower teeth
3. Hamburgers are not available due to lack of mouths
