진료과목 Double-jaw surgery
제목 Is double jaw the answer for asymmetry (from the same day to 3 months)? Why Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

hello

It's been 3 months since the double jaw surgery.

I really feel that the time goes by surprisingly fast!

I operated when it was hot, but now it's time to cool down..

Now that it's been 3 months, my senses are all back!

He said that he still had to wait for the pouring, but after seeing acquaintances he hadn't seen in a long time, he said his impression became much softer and his face got smaller haha

Even when I look in the mirror, it's amazing that I have these facial lines, and I'm like that haha

Eating and moving are still a bit inconvenient to be careful about, but the results are good, so it's worth it.

In the 3rd month, when you open your mouth, you said you have to put about 3 fingers in, but you can already open it quite a lot!!

The big discomfort when eating has also disappeared haha I wonder if I've gotten used to it haha

I still have to wait for the taste of eating large hamburgers or sandwiches, but it's not like I can't eat it for the rest of my life, and I can tolerate it because I can eat more.

ah! And I recently started editing. I had braces once when I was young, but in the past, I was stabbed a lot with wire? Did everyone do this these days?

It's a time when I think I need to manage it well!!

everyone

<Same day ~ 2nd week>

Almost human evolution. After that, I will list before and after photos. Satisfaction was crazy. liquid? I can stand it. After the surgery, I worked hard to take care of my skin so it wouldn't dry out, so it's in good condition.

You know those who have severe malocclusion... Rather than hoping for perfect symmetry like Yuna Kim, I just want to have normal... normal symmetry and occlusion. I still have swelling and I need to see the missing face, but I'm so happy to think that I don't have to worry about a specific angle like before, and I can eat with normal occlusion. The pain on the day of the surgery was difficult, and there are many things to take care of after that, which is cumbersome, but I am really satisfied with the surgery.

It's really good that I don't mind seeing the angle of my face that I originally didn't want to see. I hope you all make good choices and support your recovery!

<Before>

Day of after day ~ 1st week: Still a serious look

Week 2: Now I look like a person with a lot of fat on my cheeks, so I can take off my mask and go around

3rd week (stitches worn around day 17): After the stitches are removed, the swelling starts to go away faster

Wow, the asymmetry was much worse than I thought ;-;

It would be nice to be able to upload photos of Citi, but it's a pity that I can't. The real Citi is art.

As much as the swelling has gone down and the asymmetry has been achieved, and since I am not in my early 20s, if there are sagging or saggy areas!

I think I will have to do additional fat transplants. Of course, this is something that most people who undergo surgery should consider!

[Surgical instruments]

Anyone who has been worried about orthognathic surgery must have had a complex and a photo complex during school days, but it was not enough to decide on the actual procedure. Then, when I reached my 30s, the breast fat I had in my early 20s started to fall out, and as I got older, my face started to lose weight, so the asymmetry of my face seemed to be maximized. The stress was at its peak.

[Reasons for choosing a hospital]

It was important to improve for cosmetic purposes, but safety was more important than that, so I agonized over university hospitals and oral maxillofacial hospitals.

The part I picked is 1. A place where there is no hype/false advertising. 2. A place that values expertise & safety. 3. As it was a major surgery requiring hospitalization, it was a place with friendly service, so I chose Y Gugang!

It was nice that the director took good care of me during the consultation and after the surgery, and I really liked the fact that the director and nurses take care of me without surgery like a factory, let alone their skills. In fact, while staying in a single room, the resident nurse and the director continued to take care of me, so I was able to focus more on my recovery.

The surgery review that will follow from the bottom will be written in a comfortable way like a diary.

<Surgery Day>

Two-jaw surgery, square jaw, front jaw surgery

The surgery went in around 11:00.

The anesthesia seems to break quickly. There was no sense of drowsiness pouring out of her.

So I didn’t have anything to do, and it didn’t seem to hurt more than I thought, so I slept on purpose. (That didn't work.)

After about 4-5 hours, I felt sick and nauseous. It seems that the anesthetic gas is less because I slept.

I take a deep breath and take a nap, so I feel better.

Started coughing frequently. He said it was best to hold back the cough as much as possible.

The afternoon to early evening was the peak of the labor pain. I was shedding tears because it was difficult, so the director wiped them away ㅠㅠㅋㅋㅋ So sweet … *

I put some painkillers in and went back to sleep.

Still, I think I slept well during the hospitalization period.

I do not ask for additional suction other than the most necessary suction. I refrained from doing it because I was afraid that it would be difficult later if I had a swollen neck. mentality..

And even though it was difficult to drink water, I practiced eating continuously.

I thought it was an investment for the future, but thanks to keeping these two things, my sore throat was definitely less and my coughing was much less.

Coughing has decreased significantly since the night. I feel better after drinking water. so drink more often

It seemed like he was tightening the string after draining the blood bag, but it was very uncomfortable every time..

It's nice to come in and do a suction, but I was afraid every time the blood bag was removed.

But even this became more and more painful. I hardly feel it afterward.

It was frustrating because my butt hurt and my legs felt paralyzed from sleeping more than anything else.

*Do not sleep as much as possible after returning from surgery

*Do not ask for additional suction

*Drink a lot of water

*Trying to sleep as much as possible (I took a long deep breath and slept with something like YouTube Brainer J turned on.)

Even if you keep it hard, it seems that it will pass quickly.

<Day 1>

morning

The pain has greatly diminished.

Removal of tubes and urinary ducts connected to the nose

Swelling laser and skin pocket removal

After removing the blood bag, the cheek hurts for a while, throbbing

Chills and cold compresses

afternoon

Start walking while drinking water + New Care

Nosebleeds and bloody sputum keep coming out

It's hard to breathe, saliva keeps coming out, and it's hard to eat. Still trying to eat.

It was difficult to match the wafers, but he said it was better to keep trying to match them.

(Reason to match: to learn the path to open and close the jaw)

During the day and in the evening, whenever I had a chance, I made sure not to lie down as much as possible, such as walking or standing at the hospital watching YouTube and drinking water.

I wanted my swelling to go down quickly, and I thought I would be able to sleep well at night if I was active during the day.

<Day 2>

The laser and the director looked at the wafer occlusion around 10 o'clock.

It was difficult to match until dawn, but it got easier little by little, probably because I kept practicing.

When I was discharged, he explained things well and took care of things for me.

Too many drugs. It seems to be the hardest thing to take pills

discharge day

It was so painful to lie down to sleep, so I wanted to walk.

On the way home from the subway, I ordered a bowl of porridge and bought a drink at Mega Coffee.

However, it was difficult because my stamina was not the same as before. I hope you all don't overdo it.

I brought a few things with me to prepare for hospitalization.

You don't have to bring chargers, sauce containers, and other things you need.

They give out new care or butt cushions anyway, and it's hard to eat protein shakes or pumpkin juice separately.

discharge afternoon

I wanted to eat the original porridge, so I ordered 100% grated shrimp porridge, but it's too viscous to eat. Do not drink a lot of water.

Still, low-viscosity liquids are more convenient.

He said he lost a lot of weight because he could only eat liquid food for almost a month, so he bought a gainer.

I ate 2 New Cares and 1 Caner and drank 2 Pumpkin Juices.

Now, it seems to be almost the main meal.

discharge evening

Nose slowly pierced

Come home and set up the house - cook - wash dishes - take a nap - eat - wash - take a nap - eat - take a walk

I washed my hair standing while taking a shower after a long time, but when I bent down to dry my hair with a towel, I was immediately startled by a nosebleed. Do not bow down!!

The swelling in my neck seems to have subsided. All liquids are now easier to drink.

Spray in the nose and gargle frequently. It's painful because it's spicy, but thanks to that, it seems to get through quickly.

I'm trying to bite the wafer longer as I can breathe through my nose

1 pumpkin juice, 100% shrimp liver porridge + dongchimi water

Use it while taking medicine and drink it together

My throat was more pierced than in the afternoon, so the porridge was swallowed more smoothly.

Both nostrils can breathe

Except when washing, taking a walk, eating, I'm hungry for food

It is inconvenient to sleep while sitting, so I walk around and stand as much as possible outside of sleeping time.

<Day 3>

At night my nose got stuffy again.

A feeling of swelling in the face. 2-3 times

Maybe it's because I sleep with my mouth open at night, so my throat is dry and my lips are cracked.

Extreme swelling down the face. He said the swelling would get worse, so I wondered if it could be bigger than this, but it was possible.

If you don't feel hungry, you can feel gravity.

I still can't feel it in my right nostril.

face condition

Taking a 1-hour walk in the morning, 2 pumpkin juice, 1 gainer + 2 new care

Gas in the stomach is also very frustrating. Diarrhea begins

Tried soy sauce bibimbap in the afternoon. It doesn't taste good when you cut it into small pieces. I realized the importance of taste. A little porridge + dongchimi

Evening walk 40 minutes Dizziness male

<Day 4>

A little bit of stomach gas

I want to wipe my mouth. Frustration

Swelling under the face almost felt

when will i fall

<Day 5>

Feeling very swollen in the mouth

It seems that there is swelling pain. Eating Tylenol

<Day 6>

My mouth is pretty shut.

Does the abdominal swelling seem to have gone away?

still tingling in the mouth

My cravings have become a bit more comfortable. It is less heavy as if the swelling on the face has gone down considerably. When I wear a band, my mouth closes a little. If you don't use it yet.

<Day 7>

come to check I have to gargle hard. harder

Garglo has limitations, so I ordered a water pick right away.

The chin and cheek lines tickle, but he said that his senses are coming back. (Tingling, depending on the person)

!!If you forcefully shut your mouth, walnuts form on your chin. Don't force it x!!

<~ Day 10>

Now that there is almost no pain, it is a fight against remaining facial swelling and liquid diet (for about a month).

There are so many foods I want to eat. I had no idea that chewing while eating was so important.

Still, I didn't chew it myself, and I went out to find delicious food when I cut it into small pieces and swallowed it, or crushed it with my tongue.

1. Beverages, ice cream

2. Bread soaked in milk

3. Spam (Crispy Baked x Boiled and Softly Mashed)

4. Sauce (Honey Butter Powder + Garlic Dressing) = Fantastic to eat after eating only New Care

5. Chopped Mulnaengmyeon = Out of all the noodle dishes, it seems to be the most harmonious when cut into small pieces.

6. Silken Tofu

7. Ramen with soup

However, I can't open my jaw much and I can't use my teeth, so just eating consumes a lot of energy. Also, since I need to get rid of swelling, I'm refraining from eating cold noodles and ramen, and I'm trying not to use my chin as much as possible after surgery.

<Week 2>

My cheeks and chin keep tickling. Should I say that it is fortunate that there is no throbbing or pain and that it tickles? But since it still tickles me, I wonder how long it will keep tickling.

My mouth is still closed, but last week, I had to apply enough strength to form walnuts on my chin.

Now, the big swelling has subsided, and only swelling of the cheekbones remains. There's still a lot left to fall into, but I'm glad I've fallen enough to be able to walk around without wearing a mask.

When I went to get the stitches out, I felt really good because they told me that the swelling had gone down a lot. As expected of the seams, the front was the most painful, but it wasn't so much that I couldn't stand it, and the tears welled up? Haha, but after removing it, the swelling in my mouth seems to be subsiding very quickly.

Even now, the symmetry and jawline look very tidy, so I hope the remaining swelling goes away quickly and the original jawline comes out.
