Hi there! It's been about two months since I had my Double Jaw Surgery and V-line+Cheekbone Surgery at WHY Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery on August 11, and I wanted to share my experience with you all.
After the surgery, I went to the doctor every week for about a month to ensure that I was recovering well and that my wounds were healing properly. If you're interested in what it was like right after the surgery, feel free to check out my previous post.

Personally, I've noticed that the swelling has been steadily going down for about a month and a half now. From that point on, the reduction has been slower, but the swelling seems to be less every morning. Before the surgery, I was a bit self-conscious about my face shape and had a downcast attitude when interacting with others. However, I've gained more confidence since the surgery. I don't think it's because I have a more attractive appearance, but rather because I no longer have that complex and I'm proud of myself for making the effort to change it.
I disliked the angular face shape that's common among Asians, so I'm happy that the surgery removed that clunky feeling.

Nowadays, I occasionally receive compliments on my appearance, and it feels great. The change in my face shape, along with a new hairstyle and bangs, have helped change the overall mood of my appearance.
I considered facial contouring surgery, but opted for double jaw surgery since it's more effective.
While the pain was intense, I believe it was the right choice for me.

My diet isn't as complete as it was before the surgery, but I'm able to eat everything with care to avoid straining my jaw.
Based on the reactions of people around me, they say that I seem to have lost a lot of weight. Additionally, they wouldn't have known about my surgery if I hadn't told them. Although my mouth still can't fully open, and the sensation is only at about 40-50%, I'm able to fit two fingers in and my daily routine is going well.
This is my two-month review, and I hope that my story can be helpful for anyone considering bimaxillary surgery.
