Since I was a child, I had noticeably severe malocclusion, so I kept looking for several hospitals with the intention of doing it right away as an adult. After receiving counseling and thinking about it, I chose Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Dental Clinic because I felt that it was possible to operate without a bridge, that the surgical procedure was disclosed through CCTV, and that the hospital was clean and tidy. Lee Seok-jae, director, was of course a good person! And it was nice to feel that you were trying to care a lot about the cosmetic aspect as well.
I looked up a lot of vlogs (?) for orthognathic surgery, but there were people who were really in pain, and there were people who were uncomfortable living with other patients while recovering, so I was worried too.
However, I lived in a single room relatively comfortably, and surprisingly, I didn't get sick at all.
However, my face was very swollen and my nose was swollen, so it was difficult to breathe. So I think I woke up in about 2-3 hours of sleep. And I come until I feel like I can't really breathe because my nose is blocked, and at that time, when I call the nurse, she comes right away to give me suction and help me. I just kept coughing with a foreign body feeling, but when I coughed, the blood pressure in my face went up, so it was more swollen and I couldn't breathe, so it was hard to hold back my cough (I think I couldn't stand it at all).
In case I was bored in the hospital room, I brought my laptop and watched a movie, but since I was concentrating on the movie, I didn't have any hard thoughts and the time went by quite quickly.
And on the third day, I was discharged from the hospital, and although it was exciting, it was more scary. I wanted to go to the hospital to recover more.
After coming home carefully, he said that it is better to have the upper body elevated rather than lying down with a humidifier, so I prepared things like a blanket to support the body.
And because I had the surgery by tying my mouth, I couldn't open my mouth, so I couldn't brush my teeth and could only drink liquids. So I was going to buy the New Care that I ate at the hospital, but it was harder to find than I thought. Perhaps because the expiration date is short, pharmacies don't sell it much. I got it through someone I know!
Also, they said that walking a lot is important for the swelling to go down, so I tried to walk a lot. I liked lying down, but I took a walk for at least 30 minutes a day. It was nice to go out sometimes and blow cold air on my face.
I had to eat New Care pumpkin juice three times a day and take medicine. I tend to take medicine with my eyes closed, but among the prescribed medicines, there is a green medicine. ,, Really really ㅠㅠ It was not delicious. And because I couldn't eat a lot, I lost a lot of weight and was dizzy. Other than that, my family took great care of me, so I recovered really comfortably!

After 2 weeks, I went to the hospital to cut the rubber band and was able to eat something. While I went to the hospital and removed the rubber band, the director said that there was a lot of food in it. I'm in treatmentAnd when I came home, I ate porridge and kimchi. I still had to grind the porridge! And I also dissolved it in castella milk and ate it.
And from this point on, the swelling went down so much that I looked like a person with a lot of cheek fat (?), and I was able to go about my daily life except for exercise.

And a month later, I entered college, and after asking for the understanding of my friends, I completely recovered to the point where I ate anything but hard meat. I could eat the soft bossam meat too!

And in the 7th week, I started the gym and there was no problem doing it.
From 8-9 weeks, I was able to eat hard cookies, but on the contrary, it was more difficult to eat tough foods like giblets.
And after about two months, I ate almost all of the chicken to the point where I could eat it casually!
And now, after 6 months, I can eat everything, and if I touch the skin around my mouth from time to time, I still feel that the anesthesia has not worn off. I have a bit of a tingling feeling, and I'm living with transparent braces, but after the surgery, food fits better and the braces aren't clean enough, so I'm getting treatment for cavities. I think you should floss even if you haven't had surgery Oh, and you must clean your braces well!!

Also, it feels like the swelling is almost gone, and even friends I haven't seen in a while don't know unless I tell them first. Nothing much has changed except my profile, and my face has become rounder and more feminine. Hehe I feel like I only compensated for the flaws in my face shape, and I like it because it looks natural. If you are also worried, find out and get surgery!!
