I will write a review of the first year of double jaw surgery and V-line surgery .
The first year, which I thought would never come, is here for me !
In fact, after about 7 months , all the swelling went away and I think I lived a natural life to the point where you wouldn't even notice it if I didn't say anything .
Even my friends asked me why my face got so small haha. Please compliment me on how well it turned out and tell everyone that it looks so natural, like it's my original face . lol
From right after the surgery until now, if it's long , it 's long, if it 's short, it's short , but I heard people around me say this.
I was happy because I felt like I was being compensated for the hard work I had done during the recovery period .
They say that the orthodontic treatment will be completed by this summer because the alignment of my teeth itself is not bad !
The director of the orthodontic center is always friendly , so I don't feel burdened when receiving treatment , and he always tells me to think about what I have questions about, which is really nice .

I feel like the sensation in my cheeks , chin , lips , and philtrum has returned by over 90% .
It has been a year since the surgery and I had a meeting with the director .
For your information, I had surgery from Dr. Seok Jae Lee of WHY Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery !
I thought this was the end, but there was one more challenge left .
It's a pin removal surgery , but he said that actually this surgery is not necessary .
They said that there would be no medical problem even if it was not removed .
So, after the surgery, I thought about swelling again , not being able to breathe , and not being able to eat. I was afraid of going through that trouble again , so I didn't want to do it at first .
After looking through other people's reviews , I found that there are quite a few people who remove it after 8 or 10 years .
The main reason was that I didn't like the pins that were visible every time I took an implant or x-ray .
I was worried that I might want to get rid of it in 10 or 20 years , so I decided to take it again .
I made an appointment for pin removal surgery and on March 25th , pins from my front jaw and upper and lower jaw , excluding my square jaw , were removed. I had surgery in the morning and was discharged the same day and am recovering .
Amazingly, the pin removal surgery does not swell the inside of the nose at all , allowing you to breathe easily .

I often thought that this alone was more manageable compared to double jaw surgery, but seeing my face getting more and more swollen made me feel gloomy again . lol
Maybe I'm prone to swelling , but it seems to be similar to when I had double jaw surgery .
Still, I'm going to try my best to go for a walk since I heard that the swelling will go down quickly after the 5th day of pin removal ..!
Oh , another difference from double jaw surgery is that I can chew, so on the second day after surgery , I was able to chew and eat things like fried rice.
I think those of you who are about to have pins removed don't worry too much like I did and can get it done with a little peace of mind .
About 1/10th of the actual surgery ? lol
I want to quickly remove the pins , get rid of the swelling , and finish orthodontics this summer so I can graduate from double jaw surgery .!
For those of you who have been thinking about double jaw surgery for a long time like me, here are the reviews I wrote earlier :
I hope you read it and make a good decision .
When I think back immediately after the surgery, it was really, really hard .
Every time I see that I now have a normal occlusion and appearance, I don't regret it at all and think it was a good decision .
If you have any more questions, please leave a comment haha !
