hello!
I've been under a lot of stress since I was in high school.
But surgery is impossible for practical reasons, so I love myself! That's how 10 years have passed
Due to the occasional discomfort that pops out because of my complex, I finally decided to have surgery!
The surgery date was initially set at a large and famous hospital, not the place where the surgery was performed, but something unpleasant happened on the day of the surgery.
The director recommended another place, but he recommended Dr. Seok jae Lee of WHY Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
I came to visit without a reservation in a hurry, and Manager Hong kindly guided me and consulted me. Through consultation with the director, I got double jaw surgery and square jaw surgery!
(The manager, the director, and the staff were all kind and well received all the questions.)
I've organized it by date, and I hope it helps!๐
<Surgery day and 3rd day of hospitalization>
I went into surgery alone without a guardian, feeling scared, and when I closed and opened my eyes, I was in my current state.
Rather, there was no significant swelling on the day of surgery(?).
I didn't want to be a real customer, so I didn't even ring the bell and focused on recovery.
<Day 3-7>
It was really hard. They say that double jaw surgery is more difficult after surgery.
I continued to take medication and apply compresses, but the swelling increased (swelling was said to be at its worst for up to a week) and the pain was severe.
Blood and saliva kept flowing from my nose and mouth... and I couldn't sleep at all... I had to deal with it on my own without anyone taking care of me, and it was really uncomfortable.
If there is someone reading this and having surgery, I hope they have a guardian.
If the hardship continues, your mentality will break down, and when you do, it becomes really difficult. It's really good to have a guardian by your side.
Since it was a no-tie western music, liquid drinks were included, but I lost my desire for food, so I only drank water or Pocari.
<Day 7-14>
On the 6th and 7th day, my nose cleared up a bit and the swelling went down a bit. I feel better... but I still can't sleep.
(What this means is the state of sleeping and waking up repeatedly in short bursts)
I went to my first treatment, and it is said that my recovery is going very well, regardless of my condition.^^
From then on, I took all the prescribed medications, the pain decreased significantly, and the swelling gradually went down.
<Week 2>
There was no significant pain, and the swelling went down slowly. I sleep well now.
I went for the second treatment, and the stitches were removed! I'm just waiting for orthodontic treatment while wearing the wafer.
Others say that they have become greedy for food and want to eat chicken, pizza, and tteokboki, but I just didn't think much of it.
For breakfast, I eat castella mixed with milk, and for dinner, I boil ramen, cut it up, and swallow it.
These days, I'm spending my time at a cafe, drinking coffee and developing myself.^^
The bruises are gone, and I can speak slurred.
When I think about it now, I think I just need to stay focused and work hard in the beginning!
Currently, there is no difficulty in the beginning and I am in great condition and recovering well! Hahaha
And every time I look in the mirror, I think, โI have a normal face shape now!โ I am proud of this thought haha.
<Week 3>
There was almost no pain during this time.
I don't have a lot of fat on my face, and I thought I was the type of person who would get rid of swelling quickly.
Since the surgery involved touching the facial bones, there was still a lot of swelling and a lot of hardness.
During this period, the stitches were removed, so I ate spicy ramen or spicy foods (risotto, ramen, noodles, etc.)
Instead of chewing it with your teeth, you cut it into small pieces with scissors and swallowed it while pressing it against the roof of your mouth with your tongue.
It wasn't uncomfortable since I mainly ate soft foods, but since I couldn't open my mouth wide, I had to use a mirror to eat!
<Week 4-5>
My mouth opened more. Itโs okay if you donโt have to eat while looking in the mirror.
The swelling has gone down a lot!
I started working quickly. I was worried because it involved using my body and talking 1:1 a lot, but I can still do it!
Do you just feel like you're a bit inarticulate and others don't really care?
I'm tired and reaching my physical limit quickly, but how can I work?
Oh, and I started working out too! Don't put too much pressure on your face! Avoid biting your teeth too hard
While working hard, I also do light strength training and run on the treadmill!! (I wonder if this is why the swelling goes down a little faster haha)
Have you ever had a nose surgery? His impression has softened and he says a lot of good things.
Of course, they also asked if I had a hard time... I lost 7kg, but almost all of it was muscle loss...!!!
Even if I eat, the weight doesn't come back right away.. I look like a very weak person,, haha.
Anyway, I'm concentrating on my recovery, and I also do mouth-opening exercises whenever I get the chance! I am ending this review while looking forward to better days^^
