< Before surgery >< Before surgery >
It was a case of a vaguely protruding mouth. It was a protruding mouth that protruded as the gums receded, so when you smiled brightly , you could see a lot of gums , and the teeth were even, but there were also crooked teeth . I don't want to see it anymore because it's spread out .
Others said it was n't ugly , but I hated it so I always covered my mouth when I smiled.
That was a bit stressful , so about 8 years ago ... when I was a college student , I went to an oral surgery clinic specializing in protruding mouth and received a test and consultation !
At that time, there was not a lot of double jaw or protruding mouth surgery done , so the cost of the surgery was more expensive than it is now , and I felt sorry for asking my parents to do it for me because it was a burden, so I saved up after getting a job .
Maybe it's because the savings amount was small, but I finally got the money together .
Now that I'm married and in my mid - 30s , I thought about it and decided to persuade my husband and have the surgery !
From then on , I sold my handmade products and made consultation appointments at 3 hospitals . This was my first consultation at WHY, and the director was friendly and I had faith in him because he said he had been doing orthognathic surgery at a large hospital for over 20 years .
They also explained the external side effects (?) that will occur after the surgery . Since the philtrum is long and the lips are thin , the philtrum may look longer and the lips may become thinner , so filler treatment may be necessary .
And he just told me the facts that unlike people in their 20s , you may have sagging skin.
I had a protruding mouth, but I was told that I would not be able to get a harmonized mouth if I had to protrude both jaws, so I decided to do it with two jaws. I also had a straight jaw , square jaw , and cheekbones that were vague , so I removed the chin and added the square jaw and cheekbones. I decided to do up to 3 types of outlines .
I knew that going with a celebrity's face wouldn't work because my original background was different , so I thought the director would take care of it and received consultation without any questions .
Also, the hospital I had consulted with in the past was a hospital affiliated with a dental clinic, and since Y also practices dentistry , I thought it would be a good idea to have post- orthodontic treatment at the same hospital .
I had reservations for consultations at two other hospitals , but decided to cancel and have the surgery at WHY.
Before the surgery , my husband told me to eat as much as I wanted , so I ate well .
I looked up reviews and searched for supplies , but Y had almost all of them , so I canceled everything I ordered through Coupang .
All I took with me was a tablet PC, wet tissues , a Daiso sauce container for New Care , sleeping socks , a cell phone charger , and extra underwear .
I used a single room , and the nurse on duty took care of me 24 hours a day, so I could live alone without a guardian . Hospitalization was possible .
Many people say they get nervous before surgery , but my blood pressure wasn't high because I trusted the doctor and thought the surgery would go well .
After lying down on the operating table for a few seconds , I think I lost consciousness from the anesthetic. When I opened my eyes , I was on the bed .
I didn't feel any pain because the pain-free injection worked well . Maybe it was because I wasn't the type to breathe deeply, but the oxygen saturation monitor kept beeping , so I ended up using an oxygen respirator .
They said I couldn't drink water until 9 a.m. the next morning , so I was so thirsty and my nose was stuffy and phlegm-filled, so it was uncomfortable . My nose is stuffy and I can't breathe It wasn't to the point where I couldn't rest , but I was so frustrated with my stuffy nose that I often called for suction .
The nurse kindly responded to me, explained things to me, and took good care of me in addition to replacing the compress . Thank you for it .
I didn't have any pain, but I couldn't sleep well because I had to sleep sitting down and there were a lot of uncomfortable things , so I woke up a lot in the middle of the night and time really didn't pass, so it was really difficult .
From the day after surgery , I spent time going to the bathroom alone , drinking water , walking , gargling , and watching YouTube on the tablet I brought with me.
Fortunately , the injections given through intravenous gel were fine ( I felt nauseous for a few seconds ), and there was little bleeding and no pain throughout the hospital stay .
I slept better than expected and there was less swelling than I expected . Just the right amount of swelling (?) and the lighting was great. Perhaps because I liked it , the photos came out better than I expected.
On the last day , I took one shot of New Care and was discharged bravely !
My hobby is usually to fall asleep sitting on the sofa , so it wasn't uncomfortable, but since I only ate liquid food like New Care , I was constantly hungry and would wake up in the middle of the night . At the hospital, I felt sick to my stomach after they filled me with an IV .
I was hungry all the time and had no energy , so even going for a walk was difficult. After a week , I ended up grinding porridge and eating it like Miseum ( I also ate Chapagetti ... )
I think I drank everything I could drink , including plain yogurt , vegetable juice , protein shakes , and snacks .

< Day 5 >
It gradually swelled and peaked on the 5th day. Wow ... I could n't look this ugly ... I was so swollen that my face felt heavy and I was scared that my skin would just sag ...
From then on, yellow bruises also started appearing . The philtrum was so swollen that if you look at it from the side , it looks like a duck's mouth, probably because the philtrum is long .
The swelling went down so badly that I laughed when I looked in the mirror . Her husband also makes fun of her and says heโs like a J-chan .

< Day 8 >
On the 8th day , brush your teeth and visit the hospital for the first time ! Even though I tried my best to gargle, I could n't help but feel uncomfortable . Tongue cleaner is a must !
I visited to check on my progress and was disinfected and had laser treatment for swelling . It was a bit difficult to get there .

< Week 2 >
Entering the second week , I took a walk and visited a dessert cafe near my house . I had decaffeinated coffee , tiramisu , cheese cake , and cream roll cake .
Porridge is too expensive I went grocery shopping and made porridge . I think I ate really hard . Other people said they lost 5-6 kg each ..
I wasn't sick and probably because I ate well , I only lost 2-3 pounds . I was worried about the swelling , but I practiced smiling and talking a lot .
Second visit to the hospital on day 14 ! On this day, I had the stitches removed . I was very scared because I heard it hurt ( I'm a terrible person ...), but it wasn't as painful as I thought.
It was only when I did the bottom part that it was painful enough to make me sneeze . The directorโs stitch removal skills are also excellent ! lol
A lot of the swelling went down around the 2nd week , but I do n't think there was a big difference between the 3rd and 4th weeks . There is still swelling in the philtrum and cheeks ....
In fact, it feels like it 's even more swollen ... but now that the major swelling has gone down, I finally feel like a person haha.
By this time, the bruises had almost completely disappeared . When I looked in the mirror , I saw that they had all disappeared . It was amazing. I went to work after taking 15 days off , and since I ate well, I think my stamina came back to some extent .
Now that it's been a month since I started braces , it's gotten more uncomfortable ... but I'm adapting well !

<AFER 24 days> _ _
And now we're just looking at the 4th week !
To be honest, it's not the feeling I expected , and it's not as dramatic of a change as people who have double chins, so I don't think I've gotten prettier, but I'm somewhat satisfied with just the fact that my gums don't show as much when I smile .
It's been a month now , and they say it'll take 6 months to a year ... so I decided to take it easy ( actually , I'm starting to hate life again ) I'm less concerned about my face haha ) so I decided to stay .
It is true that it is a risky surgery, but for those who have decided to have the surgery ! Orthognathic surgery doesn't hurt as much as I thought (?) If you trust the doctor who performs the surgery, you will definitely get good results . People undergoing surgery I hope everyone lives a better life !

<After 2.5 monthes>
It's already been two and a half months since I had 3 types of double jaw + contouring on April 4th~
If you are curious about past detailed reviews.
Currently, I think all the major swelling has gone away and only a small amount of swelling remains.
The swelling in my philtrum that I was worried about has gone down a lot, and now I'm just waiting for the lump in my chin to become natural!
Because of the swelling, when I look in the mirror, I feel dizzy and wonder if I did it for no reason... I was worried that the swelling wouldn't go down, but only the big swelling went down and I feel like a better person haha.
When I close my mouth, I can still see the lump in my chin, so I keep my mouth slightly open, so my lips get dry, so lip balm is a must!
Now, smile as much as you want without covering your mouth~

The mouth movements still feel awkward, but they have become much more natural haha.
During double jaw surgery, the square jaw and front chin were done at the same time, so let's do the cheekbones too! So
I did it because I did it, but I think it was good to do it.

When I eat, I eat everything except the tough and hard food. If it is difficult to eat, I cut it into small pieces with scissors.
The braces are uncomfortable and it is still difficult to chew thoroughly, but I need chewing exercises, so I am chewing as much as I can.
I can't help with sagging skin due to age, so I wish the swelling didn't go down further.
But I wonder how it will be different from now when it all comes off. It will be different once the braces are taken out! Haha.
I really recommend it if you have any concerns about waigugang!
Two months have passed and the hospital reception and director have remained the same!!
