์ง„๋ฃŒ๊ณผ๋ชฉ Double-jaw surgery
์ œ๋ชฉ Iโ€™ve become doll-like from having a lantern jaw!!๐Ÿฅฐ (First-year comprehensive review) Why Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

<before surgery>

Hello!

I had a lot of discomfort in my daily life ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ my confidence in my appearance was greatly diminished due to my lantern jaw ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ malocclusion.

So, after much consideration, I decided to get double jaw surgery! It has now been one year since the surgery, ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ Iโ€™d like to summarize my experience during this time...

How to choose the clinic:

I had double jaw surgery ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ two contouring procedures (square jaw ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ chin augmentation) at WHY Oral & Maxillofacial Clinic.

Firstly, when I went for the consultation, I didn't feel pressured by the consultants, ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ I felt a sense of pride in the clinic!

The doctor also neatly explained only the necessary parts, ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ they didn't make me feel overwhelmed, so I felt confident that they would do a good job without being too excessive, which made me decide to go with them.

Also, the fact that they offered orthodontic treatment along with surgery, ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ the doctor performs only one surgery per day, ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ it being an oral specializing clinic, made me even more confident in making a decision!

1 Month Post-Surgery:

One month after the surgery... it's been a series of discomforts.

Initially, the first week felt like hell, but gradually things got better, though issues like nasal congestion, maintaining hygiene, ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ swelling were still a pain<<<< discomfort.

I'm slowly adapting, but looking back now, I wonder how I endured it.

3 Months Post-Surgery:

Three months after the surgery, most of the discomforts had disappeared, with only some remaining swelling ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ occasional tingling pain.

From this point on, I could eat well (excluding hard foods) ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ had no issues in my daily life! Sensation had returned significantly!

6 Months Post-Surgery:

Yes, it's been 6 months!! Well, now it's almost as if I hardly remember that I had surgery, I've returned so much to my past daily life.

Of course, I'm currently going through orthodontic treatment, so this time I'm dealing with the discomforts of braces... but still, it's a satisfying period!

 1 Year Post-Surgery:

Yes! Finally, it's been a year since the surgery, ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ I'm writing my one-year post-op review.

Firstly, currently, all the swelling has subsided, ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ now when I meet new people,

unless I tell them I had surgery, no one knows, ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ even if I do mention it, some people find it hard to believe because it looks so natural now!!

I didn't pursue surgery solely for cosmetic reasons from the beginning, ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ also because the director wasn't someone who aimed for an artificial appearance, I think I was able to recover so naturally ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ safely, haha.

Currently, I have no side effects, ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ I'm living a very satisfying life. ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ if I had to go back to the beginning ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ undergo surgery again, I think I would do it all over again. Seriously, if you just endure for those first three months, afterwards, you'll find yourself seamlessly back into your daily routine!

After undergoing surgery, I found it quite challenging, so I searched for a lot of reviews. At that time, I gained strength from reading reviews from those who were one year post-op, ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ now that I'm writing my own review, it feels strange!!

I hope that by sharing my experiences, others can find strength ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ encouragement. you can do it!!

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the doctor Lee Seok-jae, who performed my surgery so safely ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ effectively, as well as to the nurses ๏ฝn๏ฝ„ the always kind directors. With this, I conclude my one-year post-op review :)
