제목 Are you curious about the 3rd month of malocclusion? Why Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Since I was a child, my teeth were not aligned well, but as I became an adult, I began to have pain in my teeth and gums as it got worse. Among the oral and maxillofacial surgery departments, there are quite a few surgical experiences and the scale is not too small. I made reservations for consultation at several other places, including the Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic, but when I first went to the consultation with my parents, I met the director and director, and I believed in it, so I decided to have surgery right away. Director Lee Seok-jae told me quite frankly, but I think it was better because he told me exactly which part would improve and what kind of improvement was needed. It seems that it took about a month from the first consultation to the surgery. On the day of the first consultation, a blood test was performed on the teeth, and before the surgery, I visited one more time to match the teeth and take pictures. And before the surgery, I looked at the picture to find out what kind of lower crown I wanted and contacted the director, and on the day of the surgery, he and the director looked at the picture and designed it as a reference. I was going to school, so I scheduled the surgery for the day after it ended, but the day before the surgery, I read the reviews and prepared various items, but in fact, I was so hectic and tired after the surgery that I only used a cell phone charger among the things I brought with me... Even if you bring a lot of things, you can't use it anyway.

On the day of surgery (6/23)

I came to the hospital at 10 o'clock, put my luggage in the hospital room, changed clothes, and finally met the director, did the design, and went into the operating room. After entering the operating room, I don't remember anything other than lying down and getting an injection, but what I do remember at first glance is that I went into the hospital room in a dream with my head against the wall in my sleep. After that, I was awake, but I think I only vaguely remember that it was hard because I was so distracted. On the day, it seemed to be really difficult because I was doing a urine line and a blood bag. Blood and saliva continued to come out of my mouth and nose, and I couldn't breathe, so it was very frustrating. It seems that I slept for a short time almost all night and then woke up repeatedly. On this day, I think I just thought I had to breathe somehow. I couldn't even look at my cell phone, and the nurse on duty all night came in to look after me, but when I was given antibiotics and painkillers, I felt so sick to my stomach that I kept gagging. Originally, I had rhinitis, so I think it was really difficult because phlegm, saliva, and blood were mixed and kept coming down my throat and nose.

Day 1 (6/24)

By the time the director left for work in the morning, the blood bag and urine line were removed. I don't think there was anything special about removing the blood bag, but removing the urine line is a feeling that is difficult to describe in words.. I don't want to experience it again... People said that it was a little better from this day, but I think this day was much more difficult than the day before. It was really hard because the blood and phlegm got so bad and my mind came back a little,

Day 2 (6/25)

The day of discharge! In the morning, I met the director, got a prescription, got a prescription from the pharmacy, and went home. In fact, just looking at the condition, is it possible for me to be discharged? I wanted to, but I'm tall, and the bed in the hospitalization room was a bit small, so it was a little difficult, but I was excited at the thought of being able to stretch out my feet and lie down. Besides, I lost my wallet for the first time in my life, so I had a very hectic day. Until this day, there was almost no swelling and no bruising, and my breathing was slightly better than the previous day, so I wondered if it would be okay..?

Day 3 (6/26)

It is the day after discharge. On this day, the swelling went up a little, but there was no bruising, and it seemed to be getting better. I think I tried to eat New Care, soft soup, and various things. If there was even a little lump, I had to pass it over, so it was difficult to digest and difficult to eat, so I stopped eating. Thanks to that, I lost weight well. I eat so little that I get dizzy and tired even if I move a little. I usually have low blood sugar, but I think people with low blood pressure should be careful.

Day 7 (6/30)

I saw the first doctor after surgery. I sterilized my mouth, checked if the wafer fit well, and took it out and sterilized it. The director said that you can take off the wafers when you sleep from today, but I didn't have any major discomfort, so I slept wearing them until the day and took them off the next day, but I definitely took them off and slept, so I think I felt a little less puffy. From this point on, the uncomfortable things in my life have decreased little by little and my body has become more comfortable, so I gradually think of things to eat. So, while I was discharged, I asked if there was anything I could eat, and he said that I could eat soft food (e.g., steamed egg, castella, etc.) by crushing it with my tongue, so I looked for something to eat. Still, from this point on, I was able to eat food with a little bit of ingredients, so I think I was able to live. I ate porridge and silken tofu the most.

Week 2

I met my friend for the first time after surgery, and she was very surprised that her face had gotten smaller! It was hard, but I'm proud that it seems to have paid off. Now that I can talk to some extent and chew lightly, I am eating porridge that I used to grind, but now I eat only half of it and eat bread diligently. However, I can't brush my teeth like I used to, so it's a little frustrating and I'm worried that it gets stuck here and there, so when I eat something, I gargle several times as soon as I eat it and manage it so that I don't get foreign substances. Now the swelling has gone down quite a bit more than the first time, and the foreign body sensation is gradually disappearing! The stitches were pulled out for the 2nd week of treatment, and I came to see the treatment.

one month difference

I finally said goodbye to Wafer.

I met Dr. Lee Seok-jae, who performed the surgery, and saw the X-ray picture together.

I'm trying to exercise every day and do mouth exercises often to quickly get rid of the swelling!

I go for walks and continue in a line that is not too much, but I want to lose weight quickly, so I'm greedy.

But it was too hot, so I loosened up, so I have to focus again.

The bruises are all gone, but I still feel a bit full as if my cheeks are soaked in water, so I hope they come out soon,, haha

And now I finally start braces, and I have to live with braces for about 9 months, which is uncomfortable and frustrating, but compared to surgery, I think it's very tolerable!

If you look at the reviews of the proofreaders, they say you gradually get used to it, but I will adapt when that time comes again, right?

3rd month

Now, after 3 months, it feels like the jaw swelling is almost gone!

Chewing is still not as natural as it used to be, but I can open my mouth quite wide and eat almost any kind of food.

As long as it's not hard or chewy, I think I'm eating almost everything!

Swelling is said to be almost nonexistent from the outside, but there are still things that feel like something is swollen in the mouth.

And it's definitely bone-shaving surgery, so I can clearly feel the reduction in the size of my face!

The braces were also uncomfortable at first, but I'm trying to wear them for as long as possible except when I have to talk, maybe because I'm getting used to it!

I hope the correction is over soon so I can go around comfortably!

What I really want to say is that I definitely recommend it to those who have a malocclusion where the functional part was a problem like me.

Satisfaction is different hahahaha
