Now for the 6 month review!

It's hard to believe that six months have passed since my surgery on March 2nd. Even though it's been less than a year, I feel like a lot has changed for me. Wearing a mask has become a daily routine due to the pandemic, but even before my surgery, I used to wear a mask a lot because I was self-conscious about my protruding jaw and complex oral structure.

But now, I can confidently take off my mask in public! It's amazing to feel like a normal person with a normal oral structure. Double jaw surgery is a big decision, and it's understandable to worry about things going wrong. However, choosing WHY Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for my surgery was the best decision I made this year.

I used to feel embarrassed about my jaw and bite, which made it difficult for me to eat with others. But thanks to Dr. LEE's experience and expertise, he was able to create a natural line for me that complemented my complexion. I appreciate that he only operates on people who truly need it, and consulting with him was easy since I could just bring in a photo of the line I wanted.

It's only been six months, but it feels like it's been a year or two. I haven't experienced any discomfort in my daily life, and I feel like I'm just getting orthodontic treatment. When I look at myself now, it's hard to believe that I had surgery. It looks so natural!
Although my bite isn't perfectly aligned yet since I had surgery before orthodontic treatment, I can eat without difficulty unless it's something really hard or chewy. The decision to undergo double jaw surgery was a difficult one, and I agonized over it for years. But I'm so happy with the results that it was definitely worth it. If you have bite problems or complexes, I hope my story inspires you to choose a good hospital like I did and experience a better quality of life.
