This is a review from Y Gu oral surgery to the present.
I will continue to update in the future, so please look forward to the changes. I hope my review will be helpful to those undergoing orthognathic surgery. Thank you very much, Dr. Lee Seok-jae, and the nurses. It's still swollen, but it's so amazing to see that my face has shortened.

Appearance before surgery
- Reasons for choosing Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Ever since high school, I've been teased for having a weird chin or saying it looks like a comb-patterned pottery. She had to go to the dentist, so I asked and she said that she had a class 3 malocclusion and would have to have surgery. I always cared too much about my profile whenever anyone looked at me, and I had a lot of complexes because my profile was almost flat and my long chin was clearly visible. Concerned about your profile, covering your mouth while laughing, not wearing a hat, not being able to eat with your front teeth, etc...
So, while looking for a hospital, I found out about Y-Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, which was opened by Dr. Lee Seok-jae, who had a lot of experience in orthognathic surgery. Of course, as a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Lee Seok-jae seems to be more reliable than plastic surgery in terms of functionality, and since he has been in a large plastic surgery hospital for a long time, he seems not to be left behind in terms of beauty, so he can improve both functional and cosmetic aspects. I decided to get double jaw surgery from the director. Looking at the CT scan and face picture, he explained well about the asymmetry and the pros and cons of two jaw surgery, and it was also the first time I realized that I only had 3 lower teeth in my middle. He said that if I had surgery, I would be much better than I am now, and after receiving counseling, I decided to have surgery.

-On the day of surgery
I think I woke up after the surgery and went to the hospital room in a wheelchair. I thought it was not very difficult?
I was able to drink water after 6 hours, but my throat was so sore that it was painful to drink or not to drink.
The director also came and said that the surgery went well, so I was relieved..! Also, my nose was getting stuffy and it was difficult to breathe through my mouth, so I asked the nurse teacher for suction every hour from the evening. I rang the bell, and thank you so much for taking care of me so well and taking care of me.. I spent the day unable to sleep properly.

-Day 2
In the morning, the urinary tract, blood duct, and hose line were removed from the nose.
After removing it, it seemed to taste a little better.
He worked hard and kept changing ice packs.
However, when I had a stuffy nose, it was a bit difficult to breathe. When I took a picture, I could see that my face had shortened, so it's amazing..! He said that I don't have a lot of swelling. Oh, and I went to the bathroom very often; In the morning, I went to and from the bathroom for about an hour. The sore throat also got better.. Intravenous gel? Perhaps because I was hit, I was very hungry, so I didn't want to eat New Care.

-Day 3 (discharge)
The long-awaited discharge~!~! I was so happy
The director sterilized and asked me to pay attention to how to bite the wafer properly. I received swelling care and bought a pharmacist at the pharmacy and finally returned home.
It was no big deal to take a pill because it was taken with a syringe.
And my face was more swollen than the day before. Blood comes out of her left nostril, and yellow (?) discharge comes out of her right nostril, but the smell is disgusting, so I hope it stops..
He worked hard on taking medicine, eating liquid food, and gargling hard. It was so uncomfortable to sleep while sitting, so I couldn't sleep for a long time.

-Day 4
My face became tingly! I really hate this swollen feeling, and the feeling of touching my face is strange. Just looking at it, I feel like I'm almost back to infancy (?). I slept while drooling because my mouth was swollen; I start my day by eating liquid food. I don't think there is any particular pain because I took medicine. My teeth feel slightly uncomfortable! But since I only eat what I drink, I feel hungry even when I eat.. And I end up using a lot of cotton swabs to clean the secretions from my nose. Today, I washed my dirty hair carefully. It was so refreshing!! Today, I drank Vegemil, New Care, and soymilk.

-Day 6
Strangely, it feels like my face is very swollen when I sleep. It feels like my mouth is also swollen and pressure is being applied to my face?? I woke up a little late today, around 9 o'clock? As soon as I woke up, I drank medicine and New Care. And I took a simple shower and it was so good.. My face is still full. I felt deaf after the surgery, but now it seems to be over 85% back! It seems like my nose is also pierced, but it gets blocked every time I try to sleep. Also, the secretions from the nose have decreased, but it smells and I am concerned about it, so I am gently wiping it. And now I barely drool~! I feel like I'm getting better day by day

-Day 7
I woke up in the middle, but I think I slept pretty well.
I woke up at 10:00 in the morning and took New Care and medicine. I gargled hard and gave me warm compresses and cravings! But I can't brush my teeth, so my mouth feels so bad... The swelling on her face seems to subside very little. Her face is so round and round that I hope it falls off soon and I hope the swollen nose returns! I went for a walk with my dog at lunch and needed a small spoon, so I had no choice but to buy a Baskin Robbins ㅜㅜ Not an excuse! The left nostril seemed to have stopped bleeding since yesterday, but today it moved a little, and it comes out again, and the right nostril also comes out once in a while. I want to go to the hospital tomorrow and see if it is getting better~!

-8th day (hospital visit)
I visited in the morning and the director checked the swelling and condition and disinfected it. He said that starting today, you can take out the wafers when you eat!! He told me to brush my teeth gently with a small toothbrush, and to keep diligently brushing my teeth. It seems to be getting better with no problems! I received treatment for swelling and returned home. It's so comfortable and good to eat soup without wafers!! I also ate pumpkin juice to get rid of swelling. After eating, I wash my wafers gently and brush my teeth, so I feel refreshed!

Day 11
Maybe it's because of swelling (?) My mouth often gets dry when I sleep because my mouth doesn't close when I sleep. That's why I always prepare water next to me when I go to sleep. I hope you get rid of all the puffy cheeks and puffiness quickly. I drank sweet potato latte and ice cream. I also ate ice cream. I take out the wafers when I eat, so I'm a bit anxious that something will go wrong while eating. And I often apply warm compresses. I went for a light walk in front of my house, and it feels good, it's good for swelling, and it kills two birds with one stone! ㅇㅇ
Day 14
The day I went to the hospital in the 2nd week to see the progress, remove stitches, and receive swelling care^^
I was worried that it would hurt a lot, but it was more tolerable than I thought. The director said that it can be a bit painful when removing stitches as you go to the middle... but it was more tolerable than I expected. The nurse also praised me for being more patient than others haha. I haven't gone out much yet, but it's a good day to hear that my chin has gotten shorter and prettier hahaha
I'm still wearing a wafer, so my pronunciation is inaccurate when I wear a wafer, and it's a little uncomfortable when I sleep.
Day 17
After the surgery, I only lived bare-faced, but I did makeup and hair for the first time in a long time. Now that the face shape is different, I mustered up the courage to try the short hair style that reaches the jawline ^^!! After the surgery, I spent most of my time at home or just taking a walk, and it felt good to do my makeup and do my hair.
From the 2nd week onwards, I cut ramen into small pieces and eat only soft ones. Aside from the fact that I can't chew, I'm doing well without any discomfort.

Week 3
It's about 3 weeks, so except for eating, I'm living almost the same as before the surgery. Cut the cheese sticks into small pieces and eat them, order them to make tteokbokki, choose oden, dip them in rice balls, and eat them all!
Even with the mask off, I think it's okay because I look like a person with a little fat on my cheeks (?). I can take out the wafer in one more week, so I'm waiting for next week!

1 month old
About a month later, I ate a hamburger the day before going to the hospital. I picked the cheeseburger with the fewest toppings!
It's still awkward to move my mouth, but the burger I ate after a month was delicious. Then, I came to the hospital and finally had braces. The upper teeth were bridged, so I decided to remove them and come back and put braces on the lower teeth.
The braces feel... ..well, I just don't think much..something. Is it just me? Anyway, when I got home, I ate pizza hoppang, milk, and hot chicken. I ate well and didn't feel sick even when I was still. But I ate a home run ball for a snack in the evening, and my lower teeth hurt so much when I tried to chew it. But when I'm alone, I'm glad I didn't get sick!
The swelling on the face seems to go down very, very little. It definitely looks a little more in the evening than in the morning!

40 Day Review
I ate so well these days that I seem to have regained all the weight I lost. And after I started correcting, maybe because of the braces, I like it even more because the lips slightly protrude.
I just do braces, so I wear braces when I eat, but I have to carry a water pick when I go out..
As for the swelling on the face, it seems that the small swelling that remained finely after a month has gone down.

Day 47 Review
It's been a while since I looked at the pre-surgery picture, and I think I did a really good job.
Before the surgery, I didn't think it was that severe, but lol Looking at the pictures before and after the surgery now, it seems to have gotten a lot prettier. ^^**
I started orthodontic treatment in the 4th week, and I am doing well except for some discomfort when chewing because the occlusion is not yet aligned.
I have been struggling with a long complex for 10 years, but surgery must have been the answer.

After 2 months
Comparing the face of Love last month in the second month, I feel that the swelling on my cheeks and chin has subsided slightly and my face shape is becoming more stable.
Braces are also uncomfortable when eating, but I got used to it. Even though I am sick after the surgery, I am satisfied with my life without any discomfort. The best thing is that the occlusion is functionally aligned and aesthetically resolved.

Review after 3 months
It didn't take too much time after the surgery at first, but now it's already been 3 months!
After the surgery, I felt deaf in the beginning, and at night I felt like my face was about to explode, but within 2 weeks it was fine, so I thought I would live.
There was a sense of loss of sensation in the right philtrum, roof of the mouth, and front jaw, and when I touched both cheeks, there was a feeling of tingling, but this was all fine after about 2 months. Maybe you can see it~ Everything I thought was swelling haha
After 3 months, these days, it's just as comfortable as my face, and I'm very, very satisfied.
I heard that the shape of my mouth has gotten better since the sagging chin and asymmetry have been resolved, so I heard that my lips are pretty. Hehe, the eyes and nose look different too. I think it is!!
Oh, and recently, while talking to someone else, a cat came up and I heard that he has a Bengal (a cat that resembles a leopard print).
I heard that it didn't suit him so much that he was going to raise a cute Maltese hahahaha After the surgery, he lost his strong impression, and he said that his face was cute and gentle hahaha~~ And now that I think about it, I always hated my side profile before the surgery, so I paid a lot of attention, but now I'm on the side. I don't care if anyone looks at me or not!! I am so very happy!!
Recently, I was a bit worried because I had to get an anesthetic injection for my gums because I had to do treatment at the dentist.
Compared to two months later, the swelling on my face has gone down quite a bit~ I'm curious how far the swelling goes~~!!
