진료과목 Double-jaw surgery
제목 100% real two-jaw review,,,,, Why Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

It's been 2 weeks since I had orthognathic contouring surgery, so I'm writing a review together.

There is something I want to say before I write down ㅠ For those who are planning to have orthognathic surgery, please eat a lot of delicious food before, if not the day before the surgery heh..

                                                                      <Before surgery>

<Reason for surgery & choice of hospital>

I didn't know why I had the surgery when I was young, but as I grew up and my bones grew, the lower jaw started to come out gradually. When viewed from the front, my chin is a little longer than others, so if I was next to someone, I purposely kept my mouth slightly open to avoid seeing my chin protruding (?). I went to the dentist I used to go to when I was in middle school to get a consultation, and they said that this is a bone problem, so the only answer is two-jaw surgery, so I waited for a few years until I got older. But a friend recommended an app. So, after looking for two jaw surgery in the app, I found a Y-Facial Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. ! So first of all, since I don't know much about Y, I couldn't make a choice, so I searched for this and that, and there was a YouTube channel too. This is the most important thing. After reading a lot of reviews, the second thing I believed in was that Dr. Lee Seok-jae had a lot of surgical experience, operated only one person a day in a pleasant hospital, and was able to see the operation scene on cctv in the hospital room. I plugged it in once. It's a style that has to be done there, so I made a reservation right away and went straight to the hospital.

< Day 1 of surgery >

Since it's surgery in the morning, I went to the hospital and changed into a patient's uniform.

After the nurse (?) asked me various questions, I did some pre-surgery checklists, and after seeing the director, I went right into the operating room. It was my first surgery in my life, so I was excited + excited + worried. After lying down, the anesthesiologist talked to me and explained that the anesthetic would be given, but I was actually so nervous that I couldn't remember heh. I didn't mean to avoid it, but because I moved, I heard that I shouldn't move, so I came to the hospital room haha...

First of all, there was no pain, but I was so sleepy. I was so excited that I regretted only sleeping for 5 hours. They told me to make the breathing louder through my mouth, saying that I need to get rid of the anesthetic gas. I think I asked if I was there. He said he could sleep around 7-8, but I think he secretly dozed off when the nurses didn't come in. Also, the nurses came in from time to time to check my blood pressure and oxygen, and the director also came and said the surgery went well without bleeding. This is the hardest day so if you endure today, it will be easy. You comforted me, so I waited for tomorrow.

On the first night of surgery, it was very uncomfortable for me to breathe and I felt very sick when the medicine came in, so I was very grateful that the nurse on duty gave me a suction that day, told me to breathe well, and changed the ice pack.

<Surgery Day 2>

It's been two days since I did something like that. This day is the day to remove the urine line and the hose pipe in the nose. Looking at other people's reviews, they said it didn't hurt, but I had a little pain. After removing it, it was easy to move, and it was a bit okay because it was easier to breathe after removing the hose pipe from my nose. .. This was the problem ㅠㅠ But anyway, he took care of the swelling and I walked down the hallways of the hospital little by little to get rid of the swelling.

<Surgery Day 3>

On the day I was discharged, he took care of me in the morning as well, removed the intravenous needle, changed my clothes, got my medicine prescribed, and stopped at the pharmacy. I came home. I didn't do it properly, I didn't eat water, I didn't eat New Care, I depended on the sap coming into my body through a needle, so I couldn't open my mouth properly, so I tried to eat it with a syringe, but it didn't work easily, I couldn't drink water, and I didn't even try New Care. (I realized by now that I had to listen to the hospital teachers heh ;) Obviously, the director said it would be okay after a day, but it only lasted for a few days ^* Anyway, I should have eaten well and taken a walk, but my stamina decreased, so I continued. I was in one body with the bed. The medicine was too big, so I could hear it while taking it, and I felt like my muscles were losing weight.

<Surgery Day 4 ~ Surgery Day 6>

ㅇ I came back from death. I kept getting water from my body and refused to pass it, so I probably couldn’t even drink a glass of water properly until this point. I slept haha The water doesn't taste like anything, but should I say it's fishy?

I came back to life, I was hungry, I put a tissue in my mouth and put on a mask and went for a walk, but it was so hard that I came home. I just went to bed after that

<Surgery Day 7 ~ Surgery Day 8>

Maybe until that time, if I stayed still, saliva came out of my mouth. When I went somewhere, I needed toilet paper, and fortunately, it was Kosiguk these days, so no one knew because I was wearing a mask.

This is the day I went to the hospital for my first visit after the surgery. At that time, I went to the hospital with my heart warming up. I have to gargle frequently, but I'm afraid if I don't do it well and get an infection. Is it just me ? I didn't hear that I was sick in the latter half, so I thought it would be okay, but it hurt.

From the 9th to the 14th day after surgery

I also took one pill a day for New Care, craved it, used warm compresses, and took medicines. I couldn't pass it and hated medicine even more. To be honest, I can only use it now, but in the beginning I was prescribed antibiotics, so I took one pill and didn't take it. I just swallowed the same thing ㅠㅠ ) When I contacted the manager, he asked me to kindly respond and send me a picture of my face, so I sent it. The director also said that after looking at it, he said that it was still okay, so when I went to the hospital two days later, I put on a warm compress and endured it. Except that

< Day 15 after surgery >

It's finally the day to get stitches off. To be honest, I was really scared. After reading the reviews, he said that everything hurts, so I went to the hospital with a spleen heart and received treatment for swelling. I pull it out, but the lower part is somehow crazy. Everyone, are you strong? I tried to endure it, but it didn't work haha I cried a little and the director of the part where I was sick saw it and said it was slightly inflamed so the first shock was that he prescribed the medicine again and I had to take antibiotics. The second shock I understand... I came home. Actually, I didn't eat much at that time, so why did I get inflammation? It was because of the gargle.

I ate a lot of chocolate milk, which I wanted to eat, and I asked Vera to research ramen and eat it, but it wasn't easy, so I ate a lot of soup and I was happy because it was so delicious! As expected, I think the happiness of eating is the greatest for people. Also, I know that I can brush my teeth after the first week of medical treatment, but I didn’t. I did it next time, but it was so refreshing that I laughed haha,,,

Anyway, this is my review of the 2nd week.

I felt like I only tasted life after 1 week after surgery haha Everyone is different, so choose carefully and operate. I am holding on day by day with the expectation of how different it will be if the swelling goes down.

Then I'll come back to write a review later!
