Before Surgery
I had severe facial asymmetry, a protruding jaw, and a square jaw, which were my biggest insecurities.
I didn’t notice it much in my daily life, but whenever I took photos, the asymmetry became really noticeable. That’s when I realized how serious it was and decided to undergo double jaw surgery.
 
I had my double jaw surgery and two contouring procedures (square jaw and chin) at WHY Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
During my initial consultation, the consultant was incredibly kind and explained everything so thoroughly that I felt reassured.
Even before the surgery, whenever I had questions, they responded right away, which I really appreciated.
 
On the day of the surgery, I was extremely nervous, but the surgeon explained everything well, which put me at ease.
After the surgery, it was incredibly uncomfortable. I could barely breathe, and I had no strength, but I had to take deep breaths to remove the anesthesia gas, which was really tough.
 
After a week, bruises started to appear on my face, and I experienced constant nosebleeds and dizziness.
I only took medication for ten days.
 
At the two-week mark, I went to the clinic to have my stitches removed, and the ones in my philtrum were extremely painful—I even teared up.
I was finally allowed to remove the wafer when eating and brushing my teeth, which was a relief.
By the one-month mark, the swelling had gone down significantly, and I could go out without a facial mask.
Although I still had no sensation in my lips and right cheek, I consistently did mouth exercises like pronouncing vowels and opening my mouth wide.
Two Months Post-Surgery
I’m really satisfied with the results! I can now fit two fingers in my mouth without any trouble.
Since I’ve been doing mouth exercises diligently, I think my jaw mobility has improved faster than others.
Everyone around me keeps telling me that I look prettier and that my face looks smaller.
Every time I look in the mirror, I feel so happy! I can finally smile confidently without covering my mouth.
The swelling hasn’t completely gone down yet, but my facial asymmetry has been corrected, and my protruding chin is gone, making my face look smaller.
People who don’t know I had surgery just assume I lost weight and tell me I look great.
It’s only been two months, but my face already looks so natural. They say it’ll look even more natural by the three-month mark, so I’m really excited.
I can eat almost everything now, except for really tough foods. My jaw muscles are still a bit tight, which makes it look like my jaw is slightly protruding, but other than that, I think I’m recovering well.

Three Months Post-Surgery
I truly believe that getting double jaw surgery was the best decision of my life!
One of the biggest reasons I feel this way is the endless compliments I’ve received from people around me.

From the side, my jawline looks so smooth, and from the front, my chin forms a beautiful V-line.
