<After Surgery>
Before the Surgery
I’ve always had a long and pointy lower face, which made me feel insecure whenever I took photos.
Especially from the side, my chin looked too prominent, making my entire face seem longer and giving me a harsher appearance.
It wasn’t something makeup could fix, so every time I looked in the mirror, I felt disappointed.
This insecurity about my face shape had been with me for as long as I could remember.
After a lot of thought, I finally decided to get double jaw surgery and two-point contouring (square jaw + chin) at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic.
The Changes After Surgery
The biggest change was in my side profile.
Before, my chin looked sharp and jutted out, but now it flows into a soft, natural curve.
It made my face look much more feminine and balanced overall.
People started telling me I look more “slim and elegant,” and I’ve definitely gained confidence when taking selfies.
Not just my front view—but even my side profile looks so much more refined now, and I couldn’t be happier.
Recovery Process
The recovery was a bit slower than I expected.
Until the 2-month mark, the swelling didn’t go down much, which made me a little anxious.
But once I hit 3 months, the swelling suddenly reduced a lot, and I could really see the difference.
Now that it’s been over 4 months, I still have some slight numbness around my mouth, which makes things feel a bit awkward sometimes.
But overall, I’m super satisfied with the results and believe everything will continue to settle naturally over time.
Satisfaction Level
Without a doubt—10 out of 10.
This surgery resolved something I had struggled with for years, and the outcome has exceeded all my expectations.
I’m truly glad I made this decision.
Reactions From Others
Surprisingly, a lot of people didn’t even realize I had surgery.
They just say things like, “Did you lose weight?” or “Why does your face look so much slimmer these days?”
When I tell them I had surgery, they’re shocked and say it looks completely natural—which makes me feel amazing.
Everyday Life Now
There’s almost no discomfort in my daily life anymore.
The only thing is, I still have a bit of numbness around my mouth, so drinking through a straw feels slightly awkward.
But aside from that, I’ve adjusted really well—I can even exercise without any issues.
Every time I look in the mirror, I feel so glad I went through with the surgery.
I’m living with way more confidence than before, and I finally feel at peace with my appearance.
