Last year, I had double jaw surgery with Dr. Seokjae Lee at WHY Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and it’s already been a year since the operation.
 
 
<Before Surgery>
My face used to be wide, with prominent cheekbones, a square jaw, and a pointed chin, giving me an overall masculine appearance. I also had a slight underbite. After a long time of consideration, I decided to undergo surgery to change my facial shape, which had always been my biggest complex.
I visited several clinics for consultation, but for me, safety and natural results were the most important factors. Rather than looking pretty for a short time in my 20s, I wanted a beautiful, natural face that would last for many years. So, I had double jaw surgery and three-point facial contouring!
Right after surgery, I was in pain and couldn’t even sleep well for a while. I tend to bruise and swell easily, so I walked a lot and drank tea and supplements that help reduce swelling. Following the hospital’s care instructions, my recovery speed improved, and by the third month, most of the swelling was gone. As my cheekbones and jawline gradually settled, I could clearly see how much my face had changed.
Before, my sharp jaw made my smile look a bit harsh and heavy, but now my expression looks soft and natural.
 
Now, at 12 months post-op, my face has completely settled and looks just like my own — very natural, with no artificial look at all. My facial lines are beautifully refined, and every time I look in the mirror or take photos, I feel so happy and satisfied.
Friends who know about my surgery keep telling me how well it turned out — that it looks so natural! Even my mom, who was so worried at first, sometimes admits that I made the right choice.

These days, I even forget that I had surgery because I live without any discomfort at all.
I’m scheduled for the pin removal surgery soon, and I plan to have it done with Dr. Seokjae Lee as well.
For those who are considering double jaw surgery — I have zero regrets. It’s truly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life.
