진료과목 Double-jaw surgery
제목 Open bite, asymmetry, short chin fixation two-jaw surgery + transparent invisalign correction review Why Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

It's been 3 months since I had two jaws at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Surgery was performed for the treatment of chin asymmetry, open bite, and short chin.

If you look at the picture before the surgery, even if you bite your molars like that, none of the front teeth fit, and the jawbone was turned and left and right!

It was a case that could not be cured with orthodontic treatment alone, so I recognized the two jaws. After consulting at Y and taking CT and X-rays free of charge, the director directly consulted in detail about problems, points of improvement, and changes after surgery.

After the consultation, the director also gave detailed information about the surgery, and after checking the photos of the surgery case and YouTube he performed, I decided that he was a person who really cares about beauty and safety.

Reason for double jaw: Because it was difficult to treat only with orthodontic treatment due to open bite, asymmetry, chin retraction, short chin.

Reason for choosing hospital: Accurate diagnosis through examination before consultation, and accurate explanation of advantages and disadvantages of surgery and improvement points.

Because it is an oral and maxillofacial surgery, it was possible to solve complex problems.

Irrespective of the occlusion, only the contour was recommended, or the orthodontist recommended only correction without CT scan, but explained under the accurate diagnosis.

There are single rooms and double rooms, and I was assigned a single room. It's newly opened, so the inside is really clean and comfortable. I kept gargling, drooling, and getting distracted, but I was really grateful that the sink was right next to it. ㅠㅠ... A humidifier, a cushion, a neck pillow, and drinks were all provided, so I liked the comfort that you can't enjoy at a university hospital.

day

I couldn't sleep and looked up reviews, etc... I stayed up all night and went to the hospital early in the morning with a dry throat. I went into class and woke up around two or three o'clock.

Originally, I had no physical strength, so I had hypothermia after the surgery, but they kept using hot packs and kept asking for suction because I couldn't even swallow saliva in the nutrient solution to check my body condition. I'm really sorry and thank you.

Day 2

I took off the urinal and was able to go to the bathroom on my own. The director went to work and checked the progress and removed the blood bag. Up until this point, there was almost no swelling, so I took a selfie with a weak and pale face.

It's not that there's no swelling, but I was happy to see how the line would come out... But I couldn't drink water or New Care, so I spilled half of the bottle...ㅠㅠㅠ I was hit with sap, nutritional supplements, iron powder, etc., and received a boogie laser and continued to lie down.

The bathroom was right in front of the hospitalization room, so I went back and forth even with that... I was still taken care of by the teachers like a baby. He did everything even though he had to do it...

Day 3

It's the day of departure. I wasn't feeling well, so I changed clothes and got an injection. I couldn't get out of the hospital, so the teachers made me lie down in the hospital room again, gave me additional nutrients, and provided me with more food.

The director told me not to go and to stay one more day, but I was discharged after getting all the injections because I had to do something that I had been putting off.

But if I had one more day at this time... I thought it would have been less swollen and less painful.

Day 4 - Day 6

While I was hospitalized, it was really hard to feel sick when I went in for antibiotics. It was hard every time I took medicine. Everyone said that the two jaws didn't hurt except for shortness of breath, but I was… sick. The swelling was very swollen, probably because I was forced to move long distances.

The lower part was swollen with a square jaw and swelling on the sides of the mouth. The gums biting the wafer were so hot and painful. The director and the manager continued to take care of my regards via chat and emphasized eating. Thank you for being on the weekend.

Week 2

Day 7-8

The pain started to lessen a bit. The dizziness subsided a lot, but in the meantime, I lost about 3 kg of weight. ㅠㅠ A thermal eye patch? I'm warming up with that.

Now it's time to go outside for a while. I even grinded the porridge finely and ate it.

Day 9

I went to the hospital.

CT, X-rays, pictures were all taken, and boogie care was provided. I couldn't even answer the director's words properly because of the long-distance movement.

Days 10-14

After about 10 days, the chin has improved significantly (lots of swelling)

In the 1st week, my throat stopped and I couldn't pronounce it at all, but from this point on, I can pronounce it, albeit in an incoherent way. ㅠㅠ It's difficult to go to the hospital on your own, but the teachers paid such attention that I was able to endure the ugliest and most frustrating time with confidence.

Week 3

After 2 weeks, the stitches were removed! Every time the director sees me, he reminds me of how pale I was right after the surgery, so he warmly told me that I should eat well this time too. They even disinfected and managed the swelling and removed the stitches, so they said the swelling would go down.

The next day after I had the stitches undone, I went out for a dinner at work, and I ate risotto or something. I only said that I was receiving dental treatment for wisdom teeth, but even those who didn't tell me didn't say that my face was weird or that my eating was weird.

This is the 19th day progress photo~

As you can see, the side of the mouth is toxic and swollen. The upper part falls out faster than the lower part (the middle part of the face is also swollen hehehe ;;), so when the face is convex and convex in a 3-character line and the mouth moves )-( it looks like this hahaha

Talking became natural. I like to eat ramen or soft food. I'm working hard on my mouth, but my mouth is originally small, so it's still not open as much as two fingers. I'm also working hard on steaming!

1 month review

I'm uploading photos of my progress after less than a month.

There is still a lot of swelling in the face, and the corners of the mouth are full!

The position of the jaw seems to be well fixed now~ The teeth that did not reach due to the open bite mesh together, and after the teeth that grew according to the distorted jaw match the jaw, the canine part hurts because it is bitten and tilted~ :( After the correction, move this part to fit the jaw I think you will!

I went to see the progress for a month, took pictures of my bones, and checked the progress visually with a camera. My bones are healing well, and I told them to take care of the areas with swelling and sagging!

I had a hard time after surgery, so every time I go to the hospital, the teachers ask me if I'm eating well, so I'm embarrassed. I am eating soft snacks, bread, and non-hard foods.

I want to quickly get rid of the swelling, take lots of pictures with a pretty face, and go out to eat more delicious food, but time is shorter than I thought.

I'll post a review again when I get better after proofreading!

3 month review

Originally, I didn't have a big face on the outside, but the left and right symmetry has been adjusted and the short chin has been improved, so it feels more tidy.

Orthodontics is also better because Y does it yourself! Do hospitals that introduce other dentists do only the surgery and leave it to the dentist after that? ㅠㅠ I felt a little worried about it (it's just personal anxiety hehe) Y even does all the corrections, so after the surgery, keep looking at the progress and make corrections. I'm really satisfied with checking how I'm being treated and whether there's anything wrong!

It's nice that there are various types of corrections, so you can choose what you want! I did an invisalign. I recommend it to those who have difficulty visiting the hospital often! It's the 9th device now, and I like it because it's being calibrated comfortably.
